Squeeking Scarecrow (Story and illustration)

Squeeking Scarecrow is one more story developed and illustrated by me for the same project Damroo at IDC, IIT Mumbai, supported by Navajbai Ratan Tata Trust.

This story again talks about the farmer suicide issue prevailing in India. This piece of work narrates the story of a Farmer, who becomes the victim of the exploitation by the system.

Courtroom is a Poem written by my friend Nishit Mehta and illustrated by me. It was developed for the project Damroo, at IDC, IIT Mumbai. It is a part of a book which consists of different other stories and poems which reflects the farmer suicide issue prevailing in India. Courtroom is one such poem, which portrays the life of a farmer’s family which is been desserted after the suicide of the farmer. 2013

Monster Slick and the Magic Umbrella (Children Storybook), It was been developed and illustrated by me as a part of a artist in residency at IDC, IIT Mumbai, for the project Damroo, Creating Creative learning for Children. Sponsored by Navajbai Ratan Tata trust and Published by Scholastic India.

It is a story of a small kid who saves a coastal village and sea creatures from a monster, Monster Slick with the help of a magic Umbrella. This plot is based on a oil spill which happened due to a ship wreck, in the Indian Ocean along the coastal line of India, in 2012.
